...i studied drawing and painting at Edinburgh college of art as a mature student.​

I have always been interested in how artists have chosen to represent the varying nature of the scottish landscape

​

from  september 2023 until june 2024 i studied a one year landscape course at leith school of art, edinburgh.

i was particularly drawn to, and intrigued by the scottish seascape.

​

i have used varying mediums in my work. I started with charcoal drawings, which led to working in mono print and mixed media. i finally concentrated on working in oils.

i feel this medium is  the most appropriate for my work and hope to continue to paint in oils.

I am interested in varying both the type and format of the surface I work on.
